Topic: Working in partnership with families and practitioners who speak more than one language
Who is it for: Early Talk Boost tutors and people currently using Early Talk Boost
The session will include:
- An overview of a 3 year project in Newham and Tower Hamlets where we engaged with parents and practitioners who speak more than one language to review existing ETB materials and co-produce new ones. Our aim was to find out if ETB meets the needs of multi/bilingual children and families and whether it supports practitioners to develop children’s acquisition of spoken English.
- An opportunity to find out what parents and practitioners told us and how these comments influenced changes to the materials .
- The changes that have been made and the additional resources now available .
- The evaluation of the new materials – our results and learning
- Information about our recently developed ETB reception tracker
- How to access the new materials
